Dallas Mavericks forward Devean George exercised his right Wednesday night to reject an impending trade to the New Jersey Nets. The trade was a seven player blockbuster, headlined by Nets all-star Jason Kidd reuniting with his original franchise, as reported by ESPN’s Marc Stein.

According to Al Iannazzone of the Bergen Record, the Nets have agreed in principle with Memphis Grizzlies to trade center Jason Collins for forward Stromile Swiftt.
Swift is averaging 6.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 35 games for the Grizzlies.

The Nets losing ways have now reached 9 straight games, following a 98-95 loss last night to the worst team in the NBA, the Minnesota Timberwolves. In that contest, New Jersey allowed their opponent to score the final ten points.

The New Jersey Nets defeated the Seattle Sonics last night by a score of 99-88. Richard Jefferson scored 28 points for New Jersey, and Jason Kidd added 16 points and 11 rebounds. He narrowly missed his fourth straight triple-double. Johan Petro scored 22 for the Sonics in the losing cause.
